Junto — Privacy Policy

Junto lets you screen-share a browser tab with friends, with voice, camera, and text chat. It is built to know as little about you as possible.

No accounts, no tracking

There are no accounts, no sign-ins, no analytics, no ads, and no cookies. We do not collect, store, or sell any personal information.

Video, screen share, and voice

All media (your shared tab, microphone, and camera) streams directly between you and the people in your room using WebRTC, encrypted in transit. It never passes through or gets recorded on our servers. If a direct connection is impossible, an encrypted TURN relay forwards the stream without being able to read or store it.

Chat and room codes

A small signaling server relays room codes, connection handshakes, and text chat messages between participants while a room is open. Nothing is written to disk or retained: when a room empties, it is gone.

Permissions

Screen sharing, microphone, and camera access are each requested only when you click the corresponding button, using the browser's own permission prompts. Nothing is captured without an explicit action.

Weather background (optional)

The Weather button asks for your location via the browser's own permission prompt, only when you click it. Your coordinates are sent directly from your browser to the Open-Meteo weather service (open-meteo.com) to look up the local conditions — they never touch our servers. Only a simplified condition (e.g. "rain, daytime") is shared with your room so their background can reflect your weather; your coordinates and location are never shared with anyone in the room.
